Wedding Invitations
Print Design · Invitation Design · Typography
No two love stories are exactly alike, and I don't think their wedding invitations should be either.
I've had the opportunity to design wedding invitations for several couples—including my own—creating custom stationery that captures a little bit of who they are and sets the tone for the celebration ahead.
It Starts With the Couple
Wedding invitations have a surprisingly big job. They're often the first glimpse guests get of the wedding, while also needing to communicate a whole lot of important information in a relatively small space.
For each suite, I start with the couple—their personalities, their wedding, and the feeling they want to create. From there, I bring together typography, color, layout, and visual details to create something that feels uniquely theirs.
Some designs are elegant and understated. Others are colorful, playful, or a little unexpected. That's part of what I love about invitation design: every couple gives me a completely different story to work with.
Designing my own invitations gave me the chance to experience that process from both sides of the table—and made an already personal type of design work even more meaningful.
The end result is more than a pretty piece of paper. It's the first little piece of the celebration guests get to take home.
