Sioux Falls Design Week
Creative Direction · Graphic Design · Print Design
A week dedicated to design deserves some pretty good design of its own.
For Sioux Falls Design Week, I had the opportunity to develop creative for an event built around celebrating design, creativity, and the people behind it. The project included promotional materials and a passport-style event booklet designed to bring the week together through one cohesive visual experience.
Designing for Designers
Creating work for a design-focused audience comes with a little extra pressure—in the best possible way.
The visual direction needed to feel creative and engaging while still doing the very practical job of helping people navigate the events happening throughout the week. I carried the concept across print pieces, including promotional posters and the event passport, creating a system that could stay consistent while adapting to different formats and information.
The passport became an especially fun part of the project, turning the event schedule into something attendees could actually carry with them as they explored Design Week.
It was a project built around creativity, community, and celebrating good design—which made getting to design for it a pretty fitting assignment.
